Dr. Kirchhausen was appointed a Professor of Cell Biology at Harvard Medical School in 1999 and has been an investigator at The CBR Institute for Biomedical Research since 1992. He served as Assistant Professor, and later Associate Professor at Harvard before attaining his present position. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in 1972 and earned his Ph.D. in Biophysics from the Instituto Venezolano de Investigaciones Cientificas in 1977.
