Zeiss Axioplan2 /sign up
Upright Zeiss Axioplan2 that can use phase contrast 2,3. DIC is not
available. This system is tailored towards fluorescence using an AttoArc
100W or XBO 75W/2 lamps. This microscope has several filters including LP
blue, LP green, BP green (for GFP), LP red, and LP far red. A 12-bit
Hammamatsu ORCA B&W camera is mounted for digital acquisition using OpenLab3.
The computer has both a ZIP-100 drive and is also on the network.
Objectives on this microscope include:
2.5x/0.075 N.A. Plan-Neofluar (44.03.10)
5x/0.25 N.A. Fluar (44.01.25)
10x/0.45 N.A. Plan-Apochromat (44.06.39)
20x/0.6 N.A. Plan-Apochromat Ph2 (44.06.41)
40x/0.95 N.A. Plan-Apochromat w/korr Ph3 (44.06.55)

Cell
Biology offers a variety of shared microscopy resources. These instruments
are available to all members of Cell Biology. Training is required
of all users prior to independent use of any shared department microscope.
Businesses are not permitted to use any shared Cell Biology instrument.
Training in light microscopy and confocal microscopy
is available. Consulting on microscopy projects is also available.
