Tom Walz joined the faculty of Harvard Medical School as an Assistant Professor in 1999. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from the University of Basel (Switzerland) in 1996 and carried out his postdoctoral research at the University of Sheffield (U.K.), where he became a BBSRC David Phillips Research Fellow in 1998.
