MCD2 Training Program Overview

Our mission is to train future leaders at the forefront of discovery to investigate the fundamental organizing principles and dynamics of molecules, cells, and tissues. MCD2 brings together educational contributions of three Harvard research communities: The Departments of Cell Biology (CB), Biological Chemistry & Molecular Pharmacology (BCMP), and Stem Cell & Regenerative Biology (SCRB). This educational collaboration brings together a faculty of impressive depth and breadth in research to produce a rigorous and flexible curriculum. Our students become versatile and independent scholars capable of advancing important scientific frontiers using rigorous and novel approaches. Each year MCD2 selects students from Biological and Biomedical Sciences (BBS) and other Harvard Integrated Life Science (HILS) cohorts.

MCD2 is supported by a training grant from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS).
